Today our meeting was to have been addressed by Will Buckingham, an author based in Birmingham. He travelled down from Birmingham today to talk to us about Cargo Fever, his first novel, but unfortunately his train was delayed due to a fatality on the line. In such tragic circumstances, we couldn't complain, but it was a shame not to have him talk to us. I went to meet him at Craven Arms and had a chat, before he went back to Birmingham. Apologies to those of you who turned up to no event, and hopefully next month's meeting will be back to normal. We'll be discussing White Masai by Corinne Hoffman.
